Editorial standards and AI methodology

Bible Copilot exists to help readers examine Scripture more carefully. Our articles are study aids, not replacements for the biblical text, a pastor, a qualified counselor, or professional care.

How content is prepared

  1. We begin with a specific reader question or passage.
  2. AI-assisted research and drafting tools may help organize an initial explanation.
  3. Claims should be checked against the passage in context and identifiable reference sources.
  4. Meaningful differences among Christian interpretations should be labeled rather than presented as universal agreement.
  5. Pages are revised when factual, citation, pricing, product, or clarity problems are found.

AI assistance is never presented as human authorship or theological credentials.

Source hierarchy

We prioritize the biblical passage and its surrounding context, then responsibly licensed or public-domain translations, original-language reference works, historical and cultural references, and clearly identified commentary. A lexical definition does not by itself determine a passage's meaning; grammar, genre, author, audience, and context also matter.

Interpretive transparency

Christians disagree on some passages. When a disagreement materially affects the answer, we aim to identify the main positions and their scriptural reasoning. Bible Copilot does not claim to represent every denomination and should not be treated as an ecclesial authority.

Quotations and translations

Every quotation should identify its Bible translation where practical and comply with that translation's permissions. Paraphrases should be labeled as paraphrases.

Corrections

If you find an error, email support@mybiblecopilot.com with the URL, disputed statement, and supporting source. Substantive corrections should update the page's visible review date.

Health and safety

Pages about anxiety, depression, abuse, self-harm, medical conditions, or immediate danger must not imply that spiritual practices replace licensed medical, mental-health, legal, or emergency assistance.
